Counselling & psychotherapy for teens, adults and couples
You may see yourself in a few of these:
The kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix.
You say “I’m fine” so much it doesn’t even register as a sentence anymore.
People used to be able to count on you. Now you’re not always sure you can count on yourself.
The smallest things set you off lately, and then the guilt shows up right behind it.
You can be sitting next to the person you love and still feel alone.

You don’t need the words yet.
Just enough to send a message or book a first call.

Working together
Here’s what happens after you book.

A form to fill out at home. It covers the basics, so your first session doesn’t have to.
This one’s about getting to know each other. You share what you want to, at your pace.
What you shared last session becomes the starting point. Together we turn it into a path forward.
Week by week, we work on what brought you in, at your pace. The plan keeps us pointed in the right direction.
Before these sessions, you’ll answer a few questions about how you’ve been feeling. Then we talk it through: what’s helping, what’s still hard, and whether anything needs to change.
You set the pace of ending, just like everything else. What you’ve started keeps going without us, and the door stays open.
What’s different here
Your answers are charted over time, so you and your clinician can both see how things are going, and catch it early if they’re not.
More on thisEvery session builds on the last. You helped make the plan, so the direction is yours.
More on thisWe use approaches that have been studied and shown to help, not whatever happens to be popular.
More on thisYou won’t have to wonder
Routine outcome monitoring is recommended by the Canadian Psychological Association. When clinicians get regular feedback on how a client is doing, the people who aren’t improving are spotted sooner, and their treatment changes sooner. We’ve built it in from the first session.

You know the path
Goal setting is one of the most studied parts of therapy. When people set goals with their therapist, they tend to do better than when they don’t. That’s why your plan is written with you, not for you, and revisited whenever it stops fitting.
It’s built on research
Evidence-based practice means weighing three things: what the research supports, what you’re dealing with, and what you’d actually prefer. The Canadian Psychological Association recommends all three, not just the first. That’s why we’re trained in EMDR, EFT, CPT, prolonged exposure, ACT and CBT-I, and choose between them with you.
Therapy works best alongside the right supports. We have trusted practitioners in psychiatry, massage therapy, occupational therapy and more, and we’ll connect you if that’s the right next step.
Big or small, recent or years back, it’s starting to show in ways that are hard to ignore. You don’t need to have it figured out to start.

Common questions
Most plans cover Registered Counselling Therapists and Registered Social Workers, but plans vary, so call the number on your card and ask. We can bill most major insurers directly. Teens are usually covered as dependants under a parent’s extended health plan. Call the number on your card and ask about counselling for dependants.
If your plan is one we can bill directly, we submit the claim at your session and only charge your card for whatever your plan doesn’t cover. Otherwise your card is charged after each session and you send the receipt to your plan.
Give us 24 hours and there’s no charge. Less than that, or a no-show, is the full session fee. If something happens you couldn’t plan for, tell us. We’re people too.
